| The acoustics at the Roundhouse are terrible, but Blaser’s reading is superb. Robin Blaser and Sharon Thesen agreed to donate readings as a fundraiser for the KSW, which was in dire straits at the time due to an abrupt funding cut from one of its main supporters. The Roundhouse Community Centre, where the reading was held, is among several buildings that were constructed for Expo ’86 and which cost the city large sums to convert for public use afterwards. With all such hidden costs factored in, Expo ’86 lost well over 500 million dollars.
