| Davies may have been reluctant to join the KSW collective, but while he lived in Vancouver he was one of the most energetic, and inspiring participants. Anecdotes abound of the amazing effect Davies' writings had on unexpecting audiences in the late 80s. Without the example of his acrobatic intellect and precocious writings, the KSW certainly would never had taken the shape it did.

| Davies reads an earlier draft of the poem that was soon to become his first full length book Pause Button(Tsunami Editions 1992). His second book .comp (Edge) didn’t appear until 2000. |
