Context |
| A few days before reading his brilliant, Bakhtinian paper on Protest Genres, Farr was involved in May Day actions in downtown Vancouver that led to him being pepper-sprayed by the Vancouver Police. The sound quality here isn't optimal, but the paper is fascinating enough to warrant posting. Notice the sound of the drumming going on underneath: at this address, 505 Hamilton St, the KSW was above a dance studio. When they had their Capoeira nights the sounds of the music often came up through the floor. For once the sound was more appropriate than annoying.
